TXM are recruiting a Procurement Manager / Commercial Manager for a train operating company in London, a key focus of the work will be to contact all the current suppliers and ascertain their supplier status.

 

· The preferred candidate will have a strong knowledge of contracts.

· Commercial knowledge

· Be able to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

· Work on projects as needed, this may be tenders or bids.

· Be able to report on supplier status and raise any risks.

 

The Candidate

• Relevant University Degree, with 10+ years' procurement expertise and CIPS Level 6 MCIPS attained.

• Self-starter confident in own ability and ability to lead the function.

• Working knowledge of contract law and associated drafting of contract terms.

• Strong and determined negotiator.

• Demonstrable track record in delivering Procurement savings.

• Excellent organizational, influencing and interpersonal skills.

• Broad understanding and knowledge of the UK wide Rail industry advantageous.
