The role of Manufacturing Process Engineer will play a pivotal role in the efficient running of the production plant. You will establish run rates and create solutions which will drive improvements within the business.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality and Planning. Your key responsibilities will be:
1) Collecting and Analysing manufacturing data
2) Define performance parameters for production
3) Lead on all continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen etc.)
4) Reporting KPIs to Operations Manager and acting accordingly
5) Monitor machine / process capability by liaising regularly with Quality Department
To be successful as Manufacturing Process Engineer you will have the following skills and experience:
1) Relevant qualification (HNC, HND or Degree in an associated engineering Discipline
2) Experience working in a similar continuous improvement led position
3) Experience working in a manufacturing / industrial organisation
4) Demonstrable experience with Lean Principles and application of process mapping, SMED and Process Control
5) Project Management experience
6) Working, in depth knowledge of principles such as Six Sigma, Lean, TPM, Kaizen or equivalent)
