Principal Telecoms Design Engineer - Cardiff

Are you a Principal Telecoms Systems Engineer interested in working on one of the rail industry’s largest projects in South Wales?

As part of a 10-year project, a significant upgrade of the rail infrastructure in South Wales is underway, varying from civils, E&P, signalling and more. You could play a fundamental part in the design and implementation of the telecommunications package, utilising your expertise in the field to put your stamp on improving the technology in the area.

From CCTV, Public Address Systems and Customer Information Systems to lineside operational telecoms, there’s a wealth of project work in the offering. You will thrive in this environment from already having experience of projects from design through to installation.

This role is the perfect opportunity for a Senior Engineer looking for a step up and take on more line management responsibility, or an established Telecoms Design Engineer seeking a new challenge.

The salary on offer is upwards of £52k plus package including 25 days’ holiday, pension, healthcare, bonus and more.

Requirements:

• Ideally a Degree or similar qualification in either Electrical Engineering or relevant subject
• Experience of rail telecoms design – SISS, ops comms
• Chartered preferred but not essential
