As a result of continued success, a market-dominating consultancy are seeking the industry’s best engineers to deliver the designs for various rail projects across the South, based in their new office in the heart of Cardiff.

Whilst working on one of the UK’s largest rail upgrade projects, this opportunity will enable you to play a part in delivering a varied package of works over the next 10 years. As a Principal Engineer, you will be working closely with the Engineering Manager to oversee the design team, getting involved in the creation of the designs when required and also offering your technical expertise to complete the project to the highest standard.

You will also undertake CRE and CEM tasks, giving the opportunity to become signed off by Network Rail if you haven’t been so already – is this the level of autonomy you’ve been looking for?

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Engineer looking to take the next step in their career, or an established Principal ready to make their mark on this flagship project.

The salary on offer is upwards of £48k depending on experience, plus package including holidays, pension, healthcare, bonus and more.

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering
• Experience of rail civil engineering design – e.g. bridges, drainage, platforms, ancillary civils.
• Chartered Civil Engineer
