TXM are working with a highly successful rapidly expanding automotive business in Buckingham and are recruiting a Optical design engineer.

You will be responsible for design, prototyping and testing of optical systems for automotive exterior lighting projects.

With the training and experienced gained, the role will develop to individual projects, where you will be a key member of the team in the design department supporting the optical design leader

What you'll need?

- HND/Degree in relevant in Physics or related engineering course

-Previously worked in a similar role

-Familiar lighting system design and materials; reflectors, lenses and filters

- Knowledge of LED and filament source behaviours

- Building and testing prototype lighting systems

- Understanding ray tracing methods for design and prediction of optical behaviour

- Understand test optical systems
