The Operations Manager will be responsible for the achievement of agreed budget (as defined e.g. manufacturing costs) whilst continually striving for greater efficiency. This will require you to develop a site structure which enables the production (and delivery) of feed of consistently satisfactory quality and the requirements of health and safety and environmental legislation / policy to be met at minimum cost.

Bringing with you your past experience and successes, you will improve leadership, team building and empowerment skills of individual managers to maximise finished product quality standards and consistency.  You'll need to establish good communication lines with other business group functions to understand and ensure customer expectations are met.

You will champion the Continuous Improvement Programme and encourage a culture of engagement across the team and Implement the capital projects for the site which will include the following:

• Ensure an adequate maintenance programme is devised and implemented. Maintain HACCP systems to Company requirements.

• Manage the distribution assets and team to ensure performance target and budgets are achieved.

• Manufacturing methods

• Manage the site stock control and variances

• H&S responsibilities

• BRC or equivalent standards of operation

• Work force upskilling
