TXM are working with a train operating company, we are looking to recruit an Operations and Presentation Team Leader, on a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract basis, based in Bletchley or Camden.


What does the job involve?

· Ensuring personal safety and the safety of others at all times, reporting any close calls, safety opportunities and accidents/incidents through the correct process

· Creating and delivering team updates and briefings at the depot and other locations

· Leading the train shunter teams, ensuring safe and compliant operational movements of all rolling stock within the depot/outstation areas

· Ensuring clear and concise communications from shunters to drivers and the signal team – ensuring operational standards are achieved and conducting relevant operational checks

· The safe delivery of all Traction and Rolling Stock for service – ensuring they are safe, clean and on time

· Undertaking operational and presentation training/assessments, where applicable

· Undertake safety tours, where required

· Helping to undertake shunting duties, when required

· Conducting stock checks in the stores and playing an active role in cost control


What skills and experience do I need to do the job?

· Previous experience of working in a safety conscious business, being able to follow processes and procedures

· Management and leadership experience

· Experience in working with Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies and practices

· Good communications skills – both written and verbal

· Able to work under your own initiative with limited supervision

· A full UK driving licence
