Duties & Key Responsibilities of Operations Admin Support
- Validate, manage and administer the flow of customer returns between Unipart Rail and its customers and suppliers and Operations Support Team by actioning the relevant returns and warranty claims including making relevant credit decisions.
- Validate, manage and administer the flow of customer shortages to its conclusion
- Produce daily picks for the products warehouses as required during the day including any supporting documentation, including additional special picks
- Book delivery and collection slots on the supplier portal
- Responsible for stock levels of warehouse consumable such as uniform and footwear including updating of orders and associated systems
- Provide customers/depots/warehouses and departments with items as requested (tape, labels etc)
- Assist in the flow of POD’s / CFRs to the external scanning provider including retrieval and storage
- Undertake ad-hoc duties as required
- Work within the warehouse complex in a manor, which maintains at all times the safety of self and work colleagues.
- Assist in developing a methodology for improvements, to include a monitoring system to sustain improvements using the Unipart Way tools and techniques
Spread Of Skills & Analysis Required
The role of Operations Support is fundamental to administering the flow of material between customer and vendor and maintaining SAP systems. Knowledge of SAP inventory functions is required. The ability to interrogate data and make meaningful decisions with regard to an ever-changing environment. Good time management, communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting the operation is a must.
Qualifications & Education
- A good standard of education
- Microsoft Office including google suite
Experience & Proven Ability Required
Previous experience of working in a fast-paced, time critical environment is essential, as is a knowledge of SAP inventory functionality. A track record of working to tight timelines, being able to plan and prioritise activities and work with computer-based systems is core to the role. The role requires interaction with operatives and leadership alike, so must be a team player and able to flex and react to ever-changing situations. Must be comfortable working with data.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm, 37 hours a week.
