Job Opportunity: Methods Engineer
Location: Birkenhead, UK
Company: Leading Engineering Firm
Salary: £39,000 per annum
Shift: Monday-Thursday (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM), Friday (7:30 AM - 12:30 PM)

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Methods Engineer to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes and ensuring the efficient use of resources. This role offers a blend of project engineering responsibilities and hands-on tasks, ranging from managing MRP systems to physical tasks like painting and moving benches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing methods and processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the project engineering team to support various engineering projects.
  • Utilize MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc., to manage and streamline production activities.
  • Engage in hands-on activities, including painting, equipment setup, and workspace organization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all processes meet quality and safety standards.
  • Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role within an engineering environment.
  • Proficient in using MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to engage in both technical and hands-on tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical team members.
  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification
