Job Title: Methods Engineer
Location: Birkenhead
Salary: £39,000
Working Hours: 07:30-16:00 (Monday-Thursday) 07:30-12:30 (Friday)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Safety Integration: Design and install tools, fixtures, test rigs, and jigs with safety as a priority.
  • Technological Advancements: Review and integrate new technologies to enhance capacity and quality.
  • Efficiency Analysis: Measure and analyze standard times, recommending and implementing improvements.
  • Data Management: Create and maintain BOM routings/product structures, ensuring Movex data accuracy.
  • Process Optimization: Participate in the design of workplace and cell layouts to promote efficient manufacturing and overhaul process flow.
  • New Product Introduction: Act as the interface with the engineering team for the cost-effective introduction of new products.
  • Packaging Design: Facilitate packaging design and specifications for customers.
  • Work Instructions: Assist in developing user-friendly work instructions and safe systems of work.
  • Problem Resolution: Support production with the investigation of complex production problems, providing analysis and recommending solutions.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
General Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to company Health, Safety & Environmental instructions and requirements.
  • Take on additional responsibilities or tasks within your skillset as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Essential: Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent. Hands-on experience.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail with a cost-awareness mindset.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Hands-on experience in a relevant engineering environment.
