TXM Group are currently working with a ROSCO to bolster their mechanical engineering team, we are seeking a Systems Engineer with knowledge of key mechanical rolling stock systems (Bogies, HVAC, Underframe, Axle, Brakes)

 

Are you a university graduate / service leaver or ex BR apprentice who constantly innovates to modify rolling stock to increase performance or availability? We are seeking individuals with the below skills :

 

• Proactively seek innovative solutions to continually develop the fleets.

• Focus on product and system development across fleets.

• Provide technical expertise for their designated products / systems.

• Support the development and implementation of processes used within the Product Team to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

• Representing at industry meetings and seminars.

• In line with the Asset Management Policy they will seek ways of developing the fleets to reduce the whole life operating costs.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Writing technical documentation relating to potential engineering changes, to demonstrate that proposals are safe, technically appropriate, commercially viable and not detrimental to the assets over the entire product lifecycle.

• Management of Engineering Changes through Change Management System to ensure that changes made, and the justification for those changes, are recorded.

• Responding to Engineering Changes proposed by customers or suppliers within agreed timescales.

• Provide technical support and guidance to the Fleet Engineers regarding the technical content of heavy maintenance and overhaul specifications.

• Responsible for the technical content of system specific component overhaul specifications.
