You must have experience working with Printers and Coaters ideally from a can / metal background or other large format printing industries like wallpaper, laminate flooring or newspapers.
A leading FMCG manufacturer is looking to recruit a 'Mechanical Process Engineer' to join their expanding, international engineering team to provide support in terms of installations, audits, problem solving, best practice rollout, innovation, maintenance and training. The role encompasses significant travel, sometimes at very short notice across Europe, Middle East and Asia. You can be based at a local plant (within the EU) but need access to an airport and be available to travel approximately 75-90% of the time. Trips are likely to last up to 10 days but on occasion could be longer.
This role will form part of an Engineering 'Super Team' that will involve visiting international sites and provide support to new and existing staff, ensuring all plants are run as efficiently and effectively as possible. Key Responsibilities include:
" Supporting all projects and overhauls with technical expertise
" Assist plants in raising requests for capital investment
" Liaising with appropriate suppliers (internally and externally)
" Make available working SOPs to aid with good process equipment working practices
" Promoting valuable skills available within each plant
" Following up on recommended and planned actions
" Develop and provide technical training for new and existing staff
" Make yourself available at short notice in case of emergency breakdowns
" Overhaul spare assemblies

To be successful as Mechanical Process Engineer you need the following "Essential Experience / Knowledge":
" City & Guilds, ONC or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
" Significant industry experience, ideally working on Printers, Coaters or similar machinery - including full rebuilds of mechanical and oil systems
" Ideally press and coil handling asset care and problem solving
" Managing key projects including full system overhauls
" Capable of building machine assemblies to a high tolerance
" Experience in the use of general workshop / tool room equipment
" Full driving licence
" Good team player
" Ability to train others and interact personally and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
" Good written and spoken English
