As a mechanical maintenance technician, you will have a salary of £36029 working mornings and lates Monday to Friday. On top of this salary there is a 16% shift allowance for all shifts worked.
As a mechanical maintenance technician, the job is maintenance and repair of all site facilities, plant, and equipment. The upkeep of all relevant documentation.
Duties of a mechanical maintenance technician would include:
· To maintain documentation such as Job sheets, Service reports, permits to work, risk assessments and any other documentation deemed relevant to Maintenance activities.
· Perform normal maintenance duties when and where necessary and any other duties as apparent or assigned.
· Reports and maintains machinery breakdown / PPM status ref: PIRANA and a handover book, to ensure prompt attention and reduce waste.
· Provide realistic time / cost estimates for completions of specific maintenance tasks.
· To assist in the identification, sourcing, and purchasing of parts and equipment.
Requirements of a mechanical maintenance technician would be:
· A time served Maintenance Engineer
· Preferably a time served apprentice
· A good knowledge of Mechanical Plant and equipment.
· A sound understanding of Hydraulic systems.
