Mechanical fitter with ref. BH-30221

TXM Recruit are looking for a team of Mechanical and Electrical Technicians working for one of the leading train manufacturers/maintenance train companies in the UK.

We are looking for individuals from a rolling stock, REME and Aircraft (Avionics) background who hold experience within the field of mechanical or Electrical engineering.

Pay: £27.29 hourly for days and £29.31. (inside ir35 so would need to be paid through an umbrella company or PAYE)
Location: Eastleigh 7am – 5pm for days and 8pm – 6am for nights.
Qualification: Level 3 in engineering
Shifts: 4 on 4 off days or nights or both.
Contract length: 1 year minimum up to 5 years worth of work

Responsibilities:
Preventative, planned and corrective maintenance.
Modifications.
Overhauling the trains.
Lead the way in motivating and engaging the team by demonstrating high standards whilst actively following all business and safety processes to deliver a quality product on schedule to the customer
Promote a good safety culture to remain compliant with all processes.
Support audits and meetings as associated to the role.
Ensure all Maintenance Management Systems and Defect Management Systems are updated/ completed accurately.

Job Skills and Experience:

Experience ideally working within a rail service and maintenance environment, but other industries will be considered

Intermediate IT skills – typically Word, Excel, Outlook

Good written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3

2 weeks training provided at the end of May.
