Leading FMCG, high speed, high volume manufacturer in Milton Keynes is looking to appoint a new Mechanical Engineer to join their very busy team.
This site produces upwards of two million products every day and is a working with some of the world's biggest and best known companies.
We are looking to appoint a time served mechanical engineer who will be responsible for maintaining the production line, specifically industrial size printers and presses. These lines are extremely complicated and must be running efficiently at all times. You must have experience working within a mechanical maintenance role within a similar company from FMCG, automotive or similar.
You will be part of a 23 man team made up of mechanical and electrical engineers, production operatives and team leader / shift manager.
There is real opportunity for long term career progression and all candidates are put through relevant training and development plans to ensure they have all the skills required to work efficiently and safely.
The site has four teams working in tandem, supporting each other when breakdowns or bottlenecking occurs. If something goes wrong everybody is expected to chip in and make sure all three lines are up and running.
You will work a rotating shift pattern, 12 hour shifts starting at 7:45am / 7:45pm. You will be rewarded with a starting salary in the region of £37,500 which will go up to £41,500 once performance objectives have been met.
