Maintenance Operative - I am currently looking for 2 x Maintenance Operatives to work for one of the fastest growing retail maintenance businesses in the UK. This is a temporary role, ideal for someone who is looking for some contracting work longer term, there is also potential for this to go permanent longer-term should you wish. 

As a Maintenance Operative, you will be covering basic maintenance across a large retail store in Reading. The maintenance work itself will consist of basic plumbing (replacing taps and valves), basic electrical work (replacing lights and sockets), carpentry work (door handles and minor skirting) and also general painting across the store. Training will also be given in the preventative maintenance side of work in the stores, this will include regular checks on fridges, freezers and other machinery. 

The basic rate of pay is £10.79/hour PAYE, working out to £22,443 per year, based on working a 40 hour week Monday - Friday. Most operatives tend to work from around 7am - 4pm in the afternoon with a 1 hour lunch break in the day.
