TXM Recruit is working in partnership with an award-winning organisation on an exciting new project in Central London. They are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer (Electrical Bias) to become part of an ever expanding and skilled team.
Working to high standard of building maintenance, we require a reliable and proactive Shift Leader who can work on own initiative and lead the engineering team. The successful candidate will be required to provide provision of all round engineering support and maintaining the operational assets of a busy client site. They will act as the coordination point for the day-to-day activities, on site, of the Operations Team, specialist service providers and other support teams, including completion of the necessary permits to work and risk assessments, ensuring that conduct of all personnel under your control is safe, professional, and conscientious.
 
MAIN DUTIES
  • Supervise, coordinate, and mentor the site technicians, ensuring that the operational team undertake PPM or reactive works in accordance with the agreed timescale, providing technical support and leadership for the site team.
  • Allocate PPM tasks to operations technicians.
  • Operate all systems within the buildings in a competent, effective, and efficient manner (including HV operations).
  • Controlling all activities being undertaken within the building. Liaising with the site personnel to make them aware of specialist service provider visits prepare and have approved Standard Operating Procedures/PTW in advance of these visits.
  • Maintain effective shift handovers including critical plant status, plant isolations, issues arising, ongoing works, special task requests, and standard of housekeeping.
  • Ensure any parts required are clearly and accurately stated and any difficulties encountered on engineering activities are reported to the ESM.
  • Ensure the SSP comply with the contractual service level agreements (SLA’s).
 
This is A Continental Shift based position, 42 hours per week.

Pay: £46’500 Per annum

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds.
  • 17th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation.
  • HV Authorised Person.
  • C&G 2391 test and inspection (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Building Services industry (desirable)
  • Demonstrate a good understanding and be technically competent in all building services, in particular UPS, generators, static switches, water treatment, refrigeration and air conditioning, piped services, LTHW boilers, BMS, control and instrumentation.
