As a HSE Lead you will be on day shifts, working 39 hours a week, and the salary is between £35000 and £40000 dependant on experience.
As a HSE Lead will lead the HSE function to ensure compliance with all appropriate legislation and current industry best practice. They will drive the development of the Company’s HSE strategy and safety culture throughout the business. Our client is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual who can demonstrate a strong background in Health, Safety and Environmental.
Roles of a HSE Lead includes:
· Drive and develop the Company’s HSE approach and strategy through innovation and best practice.
· Provide leadership, direction and guidance to the management team and employees, developing, setting, and monitoring progress of goals and site performance.
· Review, develop and implement the HSE Policy, Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks for all associated operations and HSE campaigns.
· Support the business’ facilities in accordance with building regulatory requirements.
· Manage the site Environmental Permit including Local Authority audits and compliance.
· Lead accident, incident and dangerous occurrence investigations making appropriate recommendations for remedial action to prevent and recurrences.
· Developing and implementing an effective document management system in line with ISO:45001 standards.
Experience required for an HSE Lead:
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience and knowledge of working within a manufacturing/ engineering environment.
· NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
· A passion about SHE and the ability to influence at a senior level and champion change & implementation at all levels.
· Knowledge of weld fume and HAVS is desired.
· IT Literate – Microsoft Office Applications
