TXM Recruit have an exciting opportunity with an Engineering and Manufacturing client based in Burton-on-Trent.
This position involves manufacturing and quality testing rubber products, for use in the rail industry, via hand fabrication methods

Role Responsibilities:
  • Hand fabrication of rubber products including the use of hand and air tools.
  • Preparation of small metal components for moulding process using shot blasting technology.
  • Adherence to strict process specifications and quality standards.
  • Trimming and bonding of final rubber products.
  • Testing and quality checks of hand fabricated rubber products
  • Batch control and record keeping.
What do you need to be perfect for this role?

Our client is looking for someone with an interest in manufacturing who can see themselves developing within the role, company and industry!
Whilst experienced hand fabricators are welcome to apply, the position is also open to those beginning their manufacturing career journey, as our client will show and teach you all processes involved in hand fabrication!

This role requires working Monday to Thursday - no more Fridays!!
And involves a weekly rotating shift pattern of 1-week days and 1-week nights --- perfect for those night owls!
(You also receive an 8% shift bonus on top of the base salary for this!)

Working Hours
  • Monday - Thursday, 6am - 4pm, weekly rotating to 4pm - 2am
Hourly Rate
  • £11.21/hour (including 8% shift allowance)
