Fleet Contract Manager - Rail

Our client requires an experienced Fleet Contract Manager to manage the Trains Services Agreement (TSA) in order ensure effective service delivery against the requirements of the contract.

This is an initial 3 month assignment.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • To manage the TSA performance regime, variation orders and additional contract services to ensure value for money.
  • To manage Depot Access Agreements (DAAs) with train operators to ensure service delivery and provision of suitable depot facilities.
  • To drive improvements in all aspects of the maintenance and cleaning arrangements for the fleet in order to deliver acceptable levels of reliability, availability and train presentation. 
  • To ensure processes and procedures are in place at depots to maintain a safe working environment and delivery of safe trains into service. 
  • Through active engagement with other sectors of the business, the Fleet Contracts Manager will derive cost saving initiatives working within the bounds of the TSA & DAA contracts to drive down operational costs whilst maintaining the required levels of safety, availability, reliability and performance for the fleet.
Required skills and Experience:
  • Excellent technical engineering knowledge of modern electric multiple unit fleets (in particular Class 360)
  • Extensive experience of rail vehicle maintenance Depot working environments and rolling stock maintenance practices, including health and safety best practice, maintenance processes, infrastructure, tools and equipment requirements.
  • Strong contract management, negotiation and commercial knowledge and skills, including large train services agreements.
  • Working to multiple deadlines often under time constraints without compromising quality, able to demonstrate competent prioritisation principles and lead others to deliver against milestones.
  • Effective communication with multiple stakeholders.  Proven ability in developing strong working relationships with all stakeholders.  Proven experience of collaborative working with third parties.
