- Set up and continues support of the new rolling stock facility in Plymouth.
- Responsible for ensuring that the contractual requirements and legal compliance for their TMC’s (Train Maintenance Centre) is met and that the infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards.
- Line Manager responsible for a team of Facilities Technicians. Responsible for the control and management of any facilities contractors attending site
- Responsible for ensuring the TMC infrastructure is functioning at all times to support daily train fleet availability in line with contractual targets.
- Proactive management of all TMC infrastructure ensuring it is maintained to the highest standard and meets legal compliance
- Line Management of the Local Facilities Team.
- Manage contractors and subcontractors / carry out risk assessments and method statements
- Manage facilities – Water / Power / Air supply / Office / Insurance inspections
- Working closely with the local materials and stores teams to control and manage all Facilities spare parts and tooling.
- Responsible for the effective leadership and management of the local Facilities Team, Lead and direct the local Facilities team by example by taking a direct hands-on approach.
- Responsible for updating and management of the contractual “Major Maintenance and Overhaul” plan and delivery of the contractual DACs and annex`s pertaining to Facilities and Asset Management.
- Management duties will include daily communication with the following: Facility Planner, local TMC management with regards to daily operational issues and requirements, contractors, spare parts & materials teams, Facilities Teams, and when required customers and stakeholders.
- Management of SAP data input to ensure all facilities maintenance and repair work is recorded and maintained for auditable purposes within the clients SAP system.
- Responsible for producing the weekly, monthly, and periodic reports as required in line with KPI’s, contractual requirements and legal compliance.
- Lead and support any facilities audits from internal Business Assurance and external customers and bodies including the ORR and BSI.
- Assist the Regional Facilities Manager and Procurement/Contracts team to formulate specifications/tender documentation for set up of contract/provision of service/goods with local/national specialist providers this also applies to procuring quotations for goods/services.
- Management and control of contractors undertaking facilities maintenance repair or call out. Review contractor “work package plans” (WPP) and task briefing sheets alongside RAMS under dual review/sign off with Business Assurance and carry out internal risk assessments as required for the FM department.
Qualifications
- NVQ3 /C&G electrical or mechanical craft apprenticeship (Or relevant experience/qualification)
- BIFM Facilities Management (Or relevant experience/qualification)
- Project Management skills
- Experience of managing small teams of staff and contractors.
