With one of the largest rail upgrade projects shortly due to commence in South Wales, a thriving rail consultancy are looking to expand their specialist E&P design teams to deliver a monumental package of electrical design work based out of their brand-new offices in the heart of Cardiff.

As the project is in its infancy, you will be able to make your career whilst delivering this multi-billion-pound scheme spanning over the next 10 years. You can expect to be involved in LV-biased electrical design, including signalling power, points heating, substation design and more, all within a rail environment.

As an engineer, you will be at the forefront of creating these designs working in harmony with the technicians, utilising your skillset in the likes of MicroStation, DiaLUX and AutoCAD whilst also undertaking mentoring responsibility of the graduates and apprentices in this tight-knit team.

For an ambitious electrical design engineer, the salary on offer is upwards of £35k plus package including holidays, pension and more.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or relevant subject
• IEng or CEng or currently completing chartership
• Minimum 3 years’ post graduate experience in Electrical Engineer design role
• Rail experience strong preference
