We have a fantastic opportunity for a Diversity and Talent Acquisition Manager to join a leading Train Operating Company in London.

 

This position will be on a fixed term contract which is expected to last 12 months.

 

The role will work within a busy Talent Resourcing and Development Team to lead the resourcing function.  The role will help to embed cultural change through diverse recruitment strategies and enhanced supplier relationships, as well as to ensure effective talent acquisition for leadership roles.

 

The role will be a combination of office working and home working, ensuring out and about visibility where required.

The Role:

 

This high-profile role is critical to business success, ensuring effective resource needs meet demand and keep on top of new KPIs.  The role has recently been transposed to include responsibilities to deliver new recruitment KPIs in line with an ambitious Diversity and Inclusion strategy.  A fundamental part of the role is to lead and embed diverse talent attraction strategies, endorsing cultural change and innovative ways of working.

 

The role leads a team of recruiters who undertake resource planning, assessments, and interviews.  It is responsible to procure diverse job-platform suppliers and requires commercial astuteness to negotiate contracts and budgets.

 

This role leads talent acquisition for senior leadership positions, alongside some HQ roles, including contract and agency needs. Working in collaboration with the Procurement team, this role will ensure compliance of current legislations and agreements.

 

The role will work closely with the Head of Talent Resourcing & Development to ensure effective talent management processes, enabling internal growth opportunity and retention.

 

The role requires confident consultancy with senior leaders to embed change and adopt cultural difference by leading a practice of inclusive recruitment.

 

Responsibilities include data analysis and regular report writing to evidence performance. The role will be responsible for specific industry compliance to operate as an assessment centre. This includes compliances of external audits, identifying a suitable assessment centre manager, ensuring a relevant number of competent, qualified assessors and appropriate facilities are maintained.

 

The role ensures the company’s profile is externally promoted as an attractive place to work.  This will help ensure early career programme opportunities are fulfilled as directed by the Early Careers & Apprenticeships Manager, helping to engage young talent into our business.

Effective communicator, skilled in report writing, confident with verbal, and written skills to deliver regular reports, leadership presentations, co-deliver recruitment training and contribute to annual business plans

 

Build internal stakeholder relationships and can work collaboratively with hiring managers, talent recruiters, HR Business Partners, talent leads and senior leaders

 

Experience in leading / delivering qualified assessment centres to support the volume of recruitment assessment days.

 

The candidate will need to possess good organisation skills to lead and co-ordinate key events and campaigns.

 

The successful applicant will also be confident in using a variety of social media and job platforms.

 

The ideal colleague will need to be able to review and analyse data as well as to identify trends.  

 

We would be looking for an individual with a passion for diversity and inclusion and a background in attraction and recruitment. Recruitment experience is essential.
