Currently looking for a Depot/Project Manager position based in Southampton for a leading provider of integrated services to the quarrying/waste/marine industries with a very diverse client base.


As a Manager within this organisation you will be responsible for the management of 20+ engineers with mechanical, electrical and fabrication disciplines. You will be responsible for project management and workflow management of all mechanical/fabrication/electrical contracts, including all necessary risk assessments, budgeting, time management and job life cycles. You will have to work to strict deadlines in order to maintain an efficient operation, and you will report to the Commercial Director.


You will also be responsible for the office staff and will manage the reporting, invoicing and financial administration duties. Other duties include continuous improvement of documentation and operations within the office to achieve better results.


Ideally, we are looking for candidates to have a management qualification and ideally 5 years' management experience in a related field. You must be able to organise and run men, understand planning of work, understand spreadsheets/P&L and budgets, pricing of work, be able to read drawings and help with detailing designs for projects. You will be regularly going to prospect for new work, therefore you must be able to conduct yourself in a professional manor and be able to communicate effectively.


As with any management role we are looking for candidates to be flexible in regards to working hours and be wilting to travel to various sites across the south of the UK to prospect for work. Ideally previous experience of remote engineer management would be desirable.


For this role, you can look at a basic salary of up to £47,000 alongside having a company car provided. Usual expenses associated with this role are paid. Further package details to be discussed within interview stages.


The company is currently based in SO14, however will be moving to Marchwood, therefore this must be a commutable distance for the successful candidate.
