TXM Recruit are looking for an experienced Depot Improvement Project Manager to join one of the UK's largest rail manufacturing companies. This is a contracting role with a project scope for 12 months.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Production of a Microsoft Project Plan to control the delivery of circa £20M of depot improvements across the next 4 years
  • Responsible for the management, governance and delivery of depot improvement project plan without compromise to time, cost and quality
  • Work closely with stakeholders from departments such as; engineering, finance, procurement, legal, contract managers and facilities 
  • Regular co-ordination of weekly/monthly meetings with stakeholders to ensure targets are being met
  • Prepared to travel to all depots within the UK-COVID permitting
  • Act as a chairperson in stakeholder meetings, including minute taking and driving the work streams to completion
  • Proactive risk management and identification of cost saving opportunities
  • Programme control, including interfaces/dependencies on delivery of the Depot improvements
Role Requirements:
  • Excellent IT Skills- Microsoft Project, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio
  • Experienced with dealing with supplier and customers at all levels
  • Sound knowledge of Railway equipment supply and operational issues
  • Rail background is essential
  • Sound knowledge of the Railway Maintenance Facilities and specialist equipment
  • Knowledge of the needs of the Operators and Infrastructure owners within the UK
  • Experience of quality, environmental and safety auditing in a rail environment is desirable
