A brand new opportunity has opened up for a Data Administrator for Europes leading logistics company. The main purpose of this role is to support technical administrative duties. 

Location: Doncaster
Up to £23,000

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Business Development Managers and Bid teams to ensure all customer requirements in support of bids is understood, clearly communicated and managed effectively across Procurement 
  • Support the function to ensure that Procurement work within the Bids process delivers a quality, accurate bid that meets the customer needs. To ensure any issues are identified and communicated.
  • Provide data analysis across all procurement data (master data, cost management data and plans) to ensure that accurate cost data is maintained that supports the Bid team to prepare and deliver high quality bids to agreed timescales. 
  • Support workshops with the Procurement teams to review Bids and agree bid strategies to support the identification of cost down/service improvements
  • Make recommendations to the Head of Operational Procurement to costs that are to be used in bids
  • Agree work with the Procurement teams to improve costs, introduce new parts in support of bids
  • Provide accurate reporting and KPIs to demonstrate accuracy of procurement data and bid performance
  • Work to improve the automation of the bids process 
  • Work with the Procurement management team on key projects and activities as required in support of bids and to support the documenting and auditing of the process 
  • Work in a safe manner, taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other people at work, following appropriate Health and Safety guidance, training and company rules and procedures as appropriate

  • Ideally Graduate Calibre or relevant work experience
  • Good track record of promoting a team culture and cross functional working

  • Ability to analyse data and present information to key stakeholders
Desirable Criteria
  • Project management experience
  • Operational procurement awareness
  • Good understanding of the rail market, UK and international
  • Good working knowledge of SAP & other systems and processes
  • Recognised  procurement professional 
  • Keen to learn all aspects of Supply Chain Management 
  • Experience of working with database, SQL, workbench, UR view
