Job Title: 5 Axis CNC Operator
Location: Huntingdon
Rate: Competitive salary and benefits
Job Purpose
" Setting and operating 5 axis machines
" Running off-line programs
" Online programming and editing
" Inspection of components using analogue and digital handheld measuring equipment
" Operating and programming touch probes
" Reading engineering drawings
" Tool setting
" Machine alignment checks
" Manual machining operations
" Communicating and recording information and instructions
Key Responsibilities
" 5 Axis machine operation, including -
o Tools setting and checking
o Part setup
o Operation of Fanuc controller
o Running off-line programs
" Creating and editing programs
" Inspecting parts to engineering drawings
" Reading engineering drawings including understanding geometric tolerancing
" Ad hock jig and fixture creation
" Loggings hours on route cards
" Carry out daily maintenance checks
" Machine maintenance
" Ensure that quality is maintained to specific requirements
" To provide clear communication and instructions to team members and to all other departments
" To ensure that all materials are used efficiently and recorded as required
" Fully comply with company policies including Health and Safety
