Principal Engineer

£80,000- £90,000 + bonus & benefits

We have a superb Principal Engineer opportunity to join a renowned consumer brand who have by far the largest market share in the UK for their product and services. With ambitious plans to further strengthen their market position and improve customer experience in 2020 and beyond- they will be looking for you to play a pivotal role in driving projects on innovation for new & improved products.

This Principal Engineer position will sit within their Product Development department working autonomously as an Engineering subject matter expert (no line management) to deliver solutions for:

• New products,
• Product improvements,
• Improved reliability,
• Improved efficiencies and cost savings across the product life cycle (assembly, deployment, installation and maintenance).

As Principal Engineer you will advise across a variety of mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines and components with the machinery comprising of: rotating & moving parts; pumps; valves, temperature control and heating components, pipework, power supply and software user interfaces.

The position will be suited to a more mechanically biased Engineer.

The Principal Engineer will operate like an internal consultant / project engineer (no line management), to advise and troubleshoot across the department on: design reviews; development reviews and peer reviews to support root cause analysis to improve existing machinery or development brand new solutions for customers.

This position will be suited to a highly experienced ‘Project Engineer’; ‘Lead Engineer’; or ‘Principal Engineer’ type professional to enjoy a position that offers a lot of variety and challenges.

• A basic salary of £80,000- £90,000
