Role Overview:
This role will operate as part of the Group Category Procurement (GCP) team which are responsible for the provision of strategic and operational Procurement for assigned materials and services related to Professional Services and Facilities Management.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support high value bids and also the professional services once a client contract has been mobilised
- Pick up Facilities work when required in order to drive the environment and sustainability agenda
- Ensure financial targets for all spend categories are achieved within the portfolio
- Apply advanced procurement methods such as gain sharing, clean sheeting etc to improve results of strategic sourcing
- Accountable for sourcing, benchmarking and negotiation activities within the category, ensuring compliance to all company processes, continuous improvement in terms of quality, service and total cost of ownership in line with business requirements
- Ensure the procurement delivers outstanding customer services and creates value through cost and/or service improvement
- Good legal contract understanding and specification writing experience
- Experienced procurement practitioner with the knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management processed and supplier management tools and techniques
- Ability to negotiate directly with suppliers for all contract provisions
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, alternative Microsoft Office packages
- Experience and understanding of contract lifecycle management tools
- Educated to degree level
- Member of CIPS or appropriate professional institute or relevant experience
