Shift Manager c£50k base + shift premiums + significant benefits package (36 days holiday, car lease scheme) Location: Northampton Driving productivity, efficiency and quality at this global leader in automotive and motorsport technology you will use your extensive operational management experience to uphold a culture of excellence. With a particular focus on manufacturing you will also take accountability for the assembly, build and test departments during evening, night and weekend shifts to ensure consistency across the 24/7 operation. This role is not for the faint hearted; it will involve difficult decisions, complete flexibility and you will be responsible for establishing the culture, changing behaviours and identifying opportunity to improve. However, in return you will be working in a state of the art facility, working on a world’s first project with some of the most skilled engineers in the industry. Candidate You will bring with you a developed skillset and capability to lead diverse teams. Previously you will have held operational responsibility as Shift Manager and demonstrated significant improvements holding accountability for people, process, output and health and safety. Ideally having experience within the automotive manufacturing or assembly environment you will know how to maximise output, and get the best out of people. You will have familiarity with the challenges in this environment and have deft decision making. It goes without saying that your communication and relationship building skills will be exemplary and you will be operating in an environment whereby you are empowered to act autonomously. There are 2 positions available across both evening and night shifts with premiums attached and overall a significant package working at the forefront of performance automotive technology.

You will have a strong background in project management and improvement methodologies of Supply Chain within electronics or power generation. Working inter departmentally you will have strong understanding of PLM, ERP, MRP and develop effective and sustainable reporting framework and process whilst maintaining standard key performance indicators for the supply chain. You’ll be an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys working within a fast paced, professional environment. You’ll report directly to our Credit Manager and will be responsible for 8 ledgers with a combined balance of circa £11m. Key responsibilities of the role include; Daily allocation of cash New account credit checks Ensuring all company and billing details are correct Resolving queries Banking and paying in cheques Meetings, on customers premises. Monthly, and adhoc, statement runs and providing information when requested Responsible for chasing each customer to achieve payment of invoices Involvement in litigation procedures (ie legal letters, court proceedings etc) as and when required Weekly reporting, and presenting debt information, to Managers and Directors in face to face meetings The ideal candidate for the role will be used to dealing with the stated volume and chasing multiple ledgers, will have strong interpersonal skills, be well presented and confident.
