I am currently looking for an experienced Electronics Technician to join one of my Formula 1 clients based in Oxfordshire. Responsible for the manufacture, maintenance and testing of harnesses, sensors and assemblies. The successful candidate will manage the Electronics workshop ensuring all tooling, test equipment and stock are maintained. The role will also include supporting factory car builds for events and working closely with the factory Systems Engineer to support development test events and projects. Key Responsibilities: Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments. Manage the Electronics workshop ensuring all tooling and test equipment are fit to use. Manufacture a range of harnesses, sensor termination and assembly build for use on and off car. Support factory race and test car build ensuring all electronic boxes, wiring harnesses and sensors fitted correctly. Work closely with the travelling Electricians to help ensure the correct level of spares and consumables are available to all events. In return the client are offering a minimum 3 month contract starting ASAP on a competitive hourly rate in a clean smart working environment. Assembly and Test Technician £25,000-£35,000 depending on experience Aylesbury A manufacture of high precision, high performance rocket engines & thrusters for the space industry are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in engineering to fulfil the role of Assembly and Test Technician. To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate experience in THREE of the following as a minimum; Experience of working in a clean room environment, assembly of small precision components accurately and in accordance with written procedures, knowledge of cleanliness and operational procedures related to build and test of precision products, in process inspection using a range of equipment including; high magnification binocular microscopes, bore scopes, particulate counters, the use of pressurised test equipment to critically and quantitatively assess the performance of assemblies and sub-assemblies, the ability to interact with and use electronic based data capture methods, precision build of mechanical products to demanding tolerances and procedures, basic electrical testing at device level, the ability to learn new techniques and skills or a natural ability to be accurate and precise in all activities. You will be degree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline or HND as a minimum. Alternatively, you must be able to demonstrate relevant clean room experience.
