Laboratory Manager Watford £31,000- 35,000 plus benefits Permanent TXM Recruit are searching for a Laboratory Manager (Analytical) to join the Quality Control department at a pharmaceuticals company who continue to grow through an agile business model; whereby they operate as an own label manufacturer, contract manufacturer and an analytical laboratory for other businesses. With your knowledge within the Laboratory in Analytical Chemistry and Quality Control, you will be leading on multiple projects, differing customer requirements and problem solving at different stages of the product life cycle- enjoying varied and challenging work that will provide you with excellent career development and daily interest. As an Analytical Laboratory Manager, you will be coordinating the technical and analytical requirements within QC; leading on projects and objectives for: -Solving complex analytical chemistry problems. -Transferring new analytical techniques to the Quality Control / QC laboratory. -Method development, method transfer -Validation of analytical test methods -SOPs / process writing -Compliance to GMP and ICH requirements Previous experience and Education: -You will support an Analytical team of 4 and therefore will have previous experience in the management or mentoring or people / projects / process or training of staff. -You will be experienced in a range of laboratory analytical techniques, ranging from: HPLC; GC; UV; IR and wet chemistry. -Possess strong technical knowledge of chromatography (HPLC/GC) that is backed up with excellent troubleshooting skills. -Working to Good Manufacturing Practices GMP. -Exposure to the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) -Degree educated, preferably in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences. TXM Recruit are looking for an Operations Project Delivery Manager working on new trains for a global train manufacturer on an initial 6-month contract covering long term sick. Operations Project Delivery Manager Responsibilities: Managing multiple workstreams and projects from an internal perspective looking at organisational readiness for the delivery of new trains to a variety of train operators. Manage workstream project plans, establish appropriate project governance and progress through high level reviews/steering groups and report regular weekly progress meetings. Identify potential slippage and corrective actions to then integrate in the workstream plans and overall corporate plan. Operations Project Delivery Manager Experience: Ideally railway experience but would consider manufacturing, automotive or aerospace. Will have 5-10 years’ experience and worked within a service environment, delivering projects against of “service first”. Multimillion pound project experience. APM or Prince2 qualified with practical implementation experience. Energetic, engaging, personable, ability to bring people together in a matrix environment. As a precision CNC Miller Setter, Operator your experience within fine tolerance machining will see you succeed in the operation of Milling centres to produce engineered components within tight timescales. Ideally with some programme editing experience in FANUC you will have the capability to make adjustments, but not programme from scratch. Candidate Time served you will bring your CNC Milling skills and precision machining capability with experience across the motorsport, F1, automotive or aerospace environments.
