Equality & Diversity at TXM
Having a diverse workforce is good for businesses and for society. At TXM Recruit we take compliance with the Equality Act 2010 Act seriously, not because it’s the law, but because it makes sense to actively fight discrimination in the workplace so that we can make the most of the available talent pool. It makes sense for us as a business, but also for our clients so that they can meet their legal responsibilities too.
Nice words, but where’s the action? In 2011 we signed up for the journey towards becoming Clear Assured. This respected programme of assessment and support is designed to help us reflect objectively on our current practice and make it better. It is a journey, and we aren’t there yet, but we are committed to becoming more accessible and to actively promoting diversity as part of our recruitment services.
TXM Recruit is an equal opportunities employer. If you have any specific requirements or require assistance or reasonable adjustments to be made for you during the selection process due to disability or long-term health condition, we will be happy to assist you.
We can provide any of our documents in an alternative format, such as large print or a coloured background and can provide assistance with registration should you have problems with the online form. In the first instance, please contact Gavin Hanrahan via email on email@example.com or call him on 01908 222 880.
This is just the first step. We have an active programme of developing partnerships with agencies and organisations that promote diversity. We are proud to be working alongside the following organisations:
Remploy Employment Services is the leading provider of specialist employment services to disabled and disadvantaged people. In the last two years Remploy has found more than 35,000 jobs for people with a range of physical, sensory and mental disabilities and other disadvantages.
Stonewall is a renowned campaigning organisation that works with a whole range of agencies to address the needs of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals in the wider community. TXM Recruit is the only recruitment agency that is signed up as a 'Diversity Champion'.
We are working with Talent to aid the return to work of ex-offenders in London. We believe it is our responsibility to help reduce the likelihood of reoffending and by giving those who want to change their lives the opportunity to do so through sustained employment.
We have signed the Mindful Employer Charter to demonstrate our commitment to Mental Health Awareness. The wellbeing of our consultants and candidates is paramount.
Our decision to sign the Working Mums Charter is to help promote the importance of women in the engineering field as well as allowing us to take on a fully inclusive practise internally.
Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion
ENEI is the UK's leading employer network covering all aspects of equality and inclusion issues in the workplace.
In 2012 TXM Recruit sponsored the ENEI ‘Tapping into Talent’ award.
We will be updating this page as we move towards becoming Clear Assured. Please come back to see how we are doing or visit TXM World to read more about our diversity activity.
If you would like to find out more about our diversity policy, please contact Gavin Hanrahan on 01908 222 880. All enquiries will be treated in confidence.
