In this challenging role, you will develop advanced Vehicle Dynamics Simulation and Analysis tools and use them in the optimisation of car performance.
The role offers extensive opportunities for innovation in many aspects of simulation and car design.
In addition to an impressive degree (2.1 or above) in Mechanical, Aerodynamic or Electrical Engineering, with a broad based knowledge of Maths and Physics,
You should have proven experience in the use of MATLAB / Simulink, Excel and VBA.
Any experience in the analysis of dynamic systems and, more generally, in systems and control engineering would be a definite advantage.
Key Activities:
Develop whole-vehicle and subsystem models from first principles;
Validating vehicle models against rig and track data;
Running test sessions using two vehicle simulators.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Good engineering degree;
Broad based education in mathematics and physics;
Experience in developing basic vehicle models from first principles using high or low level programming;
Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of race car mechanical and electronic control systems.
