Vacancy Description:
One of the world's premier engineering companies is currently recruiting for an experienced and high quality Senior Buyer to join their team for a 3 month interim contract.
This will involve the senior interfacing between project managers on site and the buyers within the business who are working on the expediting of electronic components including pcbs and l.e.d.s.
The Senior Buyer will have experience of high level negotiations, project management, presenting project information to management, senior purchasing skills, together with liaising with suppliers, organising schedules and deliveries, whilst continually reporting and advising senior management of product status.
The Senior Buyer will also oversee the management and building of relationships with suppliers by the team of strategic Buyers, whilst overseeing the progress and non conformance issues being handled by other tea members. Additional responsibilities will be to identify opportunities to improve internal processes and take responsibility for the purchasing process from test phase to delivery state.
Candidates must have SAP experience in a fast paced environment, be able to read engineering drawings, have electronic product experience, high level dispute resolution skills, RFQ supplier database management skills and a history of proven pier management. Applicants will not be considered without these skills.
