Job Description:

Role - De-Burrer
Location - Berkshire
Shift - Nights 7pm - 6am Monday - Thursday
Salary - Competitive hourly rate and superb company benefits

We are looking for experienced de-burrers / finishers for our motorsport client based in Berkshire to receive transmission parts from various departments, finish them by de-burring/cleaning and polishing to the company's quality standards, and deliver the finished components to the next process stage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


" Work from engineering drawings or set up sheets to process parts using appropriate technique i.e de-burring, polishing, cleaning, oiling

" To use the E9 MRP system
" To work with supervisors to prioritise work load
" To participate in flexible working practices
" To run Mass, Drag and Stream surface finishing processes
" To deliver finished parts to Stores for distribution to the customer
" To assist in other departments when necessary
" To liaise with engineers in the design and manufacture of process tooling
" To deliver parts in a company van, and other driving duties when necessary
" To maintain the cleanliness of the department and undertake machine and equipment maintenance
" To be part of the personal development process and attend reviews as required
" To observe and promote the Health and Safety rules at all times
" To follow and promote the company quality procedures
" To carry out any reasonable additional duties as requested by management.

Education, Qualifications and Training

Mechanical / Engineering / Garage background - E
Apprenticeship / Basic Engineering Training D
Full Driving Licence -E

Knowledge

Basic PC Skills - E
Knowledge of engineering drawings - D
Knowledge of type of machinery used - lathes / Pillar Drill / Polishing-Grinding Machine / etc - D
General knowledge of motor vehicles - D

Experience
Hands on' experience - E
Working in a small team - E
Working in an engineering environment - D
Working under pressure - D
Working unsupervised - D

Special Requirements of the role

Flexibility on jobs given and on hours - overtime / evening / weekends if necessary

Environment is noisy / dusty / exposure to aqueous based product

Requires a high level of concentration and attention to detail to repetitive nature of job and high volumes.
